I master the basic in batik painting during my secondary school days and i really enjoy doing it that's why i am still practising it now. To be honest batik painting is not an easy job at all, from coming out with the design to completion of a pieces may take from weeks to months depending on the complexity of the design. The initial start of coming up with a design is always not easy. i love nature and would always use flowers, butterfly, seashells, marine life as part of my design.
One of the main material is wax, the wax needs to be heated throughout the working session and to be applied onto the cotton or silk cloth at an optimum temperature. The smell of the wax can be quite reeking, my dad really hates it but he enjoy my 'master' piece when i have completed a design. The following are some of the pieces that i have design and created over the last 2 years. My favourite piece to be 'Evening Beauty'.
i am proud of every piece of work and hope that it will bring joy to the people viewing it. i believe that every piece of the design has clearly express my thinking and thoughts when i created them. Although i believe that everyone's opinion of the same piece will be different, that is ART. In the world of Art, there is no right or wrong, no restrictions, no regulations, no rules and that is what i love about.
